Die Verleihung der 76. Golden Globes findet am Sonntag, den 6. Januar 2019 statt.

Nach seinem eindrucksvollen Kinostart geht Freddie Mercurys Erfolgsgeschichte in die nächste Runde: Ab Montag, 12. Dezember 2018, ist BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY als Karaoke Sing-Along Version in vielen Kinos zu sehen.

RAMI MALEK

To play Freddie Mercury was a profound honor. To be a part of telling a story like this, of lives like these, is something I will forever cherish. I am eternally grateful to Brian May and Roger Taylor, and to Graham King, Denis O’Sullivan, 20th Century Fox and New Regency. I feel deeply fortunate and grateful to be acknowledged by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Thank you. Finally, my most heartfelt and humbled thank you to the man this is for and because of, Freddie.

GRAHAM KING

I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for including Bohemian Rhapsody among this incredible group of films. Filmmaking is a true collaboration and I couldn’t be more proud of this team and what we created. What Freddie Mercury and Queen did so successfully, and what Queen still does to this day, is bring people together through their music — no matter what age, background or culture— and that’s what we worked hard to do with this film as well. I’m so proud of our leading man, Rami Malek, as he deserves this recognition for one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY feiert auf mitreißende Art die Rockband Queen, ihre Musik und ihren außergewöhnlichen Leadsänger Freddie Mercury. Freddie Mercury widersetzte sich Klischees, trotzte Konventionen und wurde so zu einem der beliebtesten Entertainer der Welt. Der Film erzählt vom kometenhaften Aufstieg der Band durch ihre einzigartigen Songs und ihren revolutionären Sound. Sie haben beispiellosen Erfolg, bis Mercury, dessen Lebensstil außer Kontrolle gerät, sich unerwartet von Queen abwendet, um seine Solokarriere zu starten.
Freddie, der sehr unter der Trennung litt, gelingt es gerade noch rechtzeitig, die Band für das „Live Aid”-Konzert wieder zu vereinigen. Trotz seiner AIDS-Diagnose beflügelt er die Band zu einem der herausragendsten Konzerte in der Geschichte der Rockmusik. Queen zementiert damit das Vermächtnis einer Band, die bis heute Außenseiter, Träumer und Musikliebhaber gleichermaßen inspiriert.
